Hello everyone,

Join us on Saturday, August 15, for a fly-in event at the Fort McMurray airport. In keeping with our mission, we welcome you to join us for a day of aviation inspiration for the local communities of the Wood Buffalo area.

This is the final Alberta Air Tour event of the 2026 season! Pilots flying all aircraft types are welcome, and registration is free.

Registration is limited to 40 aircraft to ensure a safe and enjoyable event.

This will be a single-stop event, followed by an aerial tour of the oil sands region. The tour will be flown using staggered altitudes and speeds to safely separate participating aircraft.

Please Note: The tour will operate in Class C and Class E airspace, so a transponder is required.

10:15 – Aircraft must be parked and secured (fuel truck will come to you)

10:30–11:00 – Pilot briefing

11:00 – Event grounds open

12:15–12:30 – Welcome remarks & tourism presentation

1:00–1:15 – Secure apron

1:15–2:00 – Departures for the aerial tour

⏱️ Tour Duration: Approximately 40–60 minutes, depending on aircraft type.
