Hello everyone,

We’re excited to share the details for our upcoming Alberta Air Tour, taking place June 6–7, 2026. This special weekend adventure will kick off in Hanna on June 6 at 10:30 a.m., followed by an evening event in Innisfail, and will wrap up the next day in Castor with a memorable new activity for most of us. Registration begins May 8 with a maximum of 40 aircraft.

Tentative Schedule:

June 6 – Hanna & Innisfail

Hanna: Pilots are asked to arrive, park, and have aircraft secured by 10:45 a.m.  The town will be hosting an aviation celebration from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., complete with lunch and festivities. Once aircraft are secured, the public will be invited to explore the ramp, meet the pilots, and enjoy the displays. If this is your first air tour, expect hundreds of enthusiastic visitors of all ages eager to connect and share in the joy of aviation.

Innisfail : At 3:00 p.m., we will begin securing the area for departures, with aircraft leaving Hanna starting at 3:30 p.m.  Arrivals in Innisfail will take place between 4:00 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. Once the ramp is secured, the public will again be welcomed in. At approximately 6:00 p.m., the Innisfail team will host a community BBQ celebrating the airport and aviation community. Pilots are welcome to stay overnight or return home if preferred. For those staying, hotel and transportation details will be shared after registration is complete.

June 7 – Castor

Pilots are asked to arrive and be parked by 10:00 a.m. so the area can be secured. The town has planned lunch, festivities, and a special treat for our group: For a modest fee, we’re invited to try skeet shooting at the Castor Trap Club located right at the airport. The official tour will conclude at 1:00 p.m., but participants are welcome to continue skeet shooting afterward.
